Financial Reporting Manager
Our client in the downtown core is a major player in the Canadian retail space. As they revolutionize their brand and continue to build dynamic teams, they are looking to hire a Financial Reporting Manager. This role will be heavily involved in the external financial reporting process including financial statement production and US GAAP reporting, technical accounting and the IFRS conversion project. There will also be some involvement in working with operations, FP&A, and operational Finance teams to streamline and provide timely information to the Audit Committee and the Board. This role is an excellent springboard into other areas of the company and will interact heavily with all areas of the business. This is a leadership position where you will have the opportunity to coach and mentor staff.
Candidates must have a CA designation and be very adept technically with good exposure to public company reporting requirements and regulatory filings. A minimum of 2yrs outside of public practice working in financial reporting within public entities is required. Candidates should have excellent technical accounting skills and be able to apply accounting guidelines to unique scenarios. Superior organizational and problem solving skills would also be considered strong assets.
