Senior Internal Auditor

Our growing retail client in the west end is currently hiring a Senior Internal Auditor.  This position is responsible for conducting and documenting complex internal audit projects and may provide advice and direction for business cycle owners.  The Senior Internal Auditor will identify internal control problems and departures from financial or operating procedures and standards.  In addition, the position is responsible for preparing appropriate audit work papers and audit reports and conducting or participating in related conferences.

Qualified applicants must hold a Canadian CA designation and have  2 to 5 years public accounting experience with one of the recognized big four public accounting firms, which includes control review experience.  Exposure to the retail industry would be beneficial as would a CIA designation.   Issue management skills including organizational skills; interpersonal skills including conflict management; and information gathering are essential to success in the position.
