Vice President - Projects Controller

Our downtown mining client is a well know public company with operations around the globe.  Currently, they are looking for an experienced CA or CMA from either the mining /oil and gas / engineering industry. Are you looking for a role that involves an element of worldwide travel? 

In this role you will provide financial oversight for a multi-billion dollar capital expenditure program and provide technical leadership in a complex or multidisciplinary function for a process of significant strategic impact. You will act as a senior finance point of contact for all regional employees in the function, including building their capabilities and troubleshooting escalated issues. Enable capital decision making by establishing financial systems which include controls and processes to effectively budget, track, manage, report, and control financial information for development projects/construction activities. The successful candidate will also generate ideas to maximize the use of company capital resources. To assist in the preparation and presentation of financial reports and statements on a company-wide basis.

You must be an experienced  C.A /CMA with capital projects experience from either a mining or large scale construction/ oil and gas/ infrastructure environment and 10 + years at a Managerial level. You are results oriented with a focus on continuous improvement. As well you must be open to approximately 50% worldwide travel.
