Accounts Payable Supervisor

Our north-end Toronto client is creating a new position for an Accounts Payable Supervisor. This position will lead a team of about 10 staff, responsible for the entire accounts payable process, ensuring that transactions are properly authorized, accurate and processed on a timely basis in accordance with company policies and procedures. You will be responsible for month-end and year-end cut-off procedures and will monitor key performance indicators for the department. You will also be responsible for identifying process improvements and cost efficiencies and building and maintaining excellent vendor and internal customer relations.

The ideal candidate for this position must have a university degree or college diploma in accounting or a related field, three to five years of supervisory experience in accounts payable. The ideal candidate will have a background in a retail or distribution environment, or some other high- volume transaction, multi-site business. Experience with Oracle would be beneficial in this role as well.
