Regional Controller

As a result of growth due to recent acquisitions, our client is adding a Regional Controller based in its Canadian head office located in the north end of the GTA. In addition to preparing and analyzing both branch and regional financial statements (P&Ls, Balance Sheets) and management reporting information, including improving sales performance, inventory control and working capital, while reducing SG&A expenses. This individual will work in close partnership with the regional operations and sales directors, as well as the group Director of Finance to provide timely and accurate financial reporting, monitoring operating results reports against budgets, and forecasting.

We are looking for a designated accounting professional (CA, CGA or CMA) with managerial experience and a track record of supporting a large, multi-site business – I.e. retail or distribution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as a controller and a strong analytical flair, and enjoys interacting with the sales and operations teams, understanding their needs and educating them on the financial impacts of their decisions.
