Property Accountant

Our downtown Toronto client, one of Canada’s largest and most reputable real estate companies, is looking for a Property Accountant to join their team.

In this role, you be responsible for all regular monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting associated with a portfolio of retail, commercial and residential properties. You will prepare monthly account reconciliations, variance analysis, cash flow projections, statutory filings, and all other related working paper schedules as required on a regular basis. You will also be responsible for annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, as well as year-end cost statements for tenants and preparing audit packages.

The ideal candidate for this position must have a college or university degree and be enrolled in at least 3rd-level CGA or the CMA program. Three years of financial accounting and strong systems skills are also required. Real estate accounting knowledge and experience with JDEdwards is preferred.
