Alex Barker, CPA, CA

Alex Barker is a Partner at The Mason Group. She earned her CA designation in 1997 after completing her Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Wilfrid Laurier University.

Prior to working in recruitment, her experience included roles within a Big 4 public accounting firm, as well as finance and accounting reporting and accounting roles within the banking and investment dealer sectors. She then spent several years with a multinational placement firm in the Greater Toronto Area where she was recognized as a top performer. In this role, she specialized in the permanent placement of mid- to senior-level finance professionals across a variety of industries.

Her persistence and commitment to finding the right fit for both clients and candidates has resulted in many successful relationships; clients regularly return to her for subsequent requirements. She says she loves “being a resource for clients to help them guide and manage their employee resources more effectively.”

After hours, Alex volunteers for CPA Tax Clinics and is a member of the Halton-Peel District CA Association. And she’s working on visiting every continent on the planet!
